Explore the biodiversity of theBergeggi Island Marine Protected Area with an exceptional experience of kayak e snorkeling, enriched by environmental monitoring activities. In the company of a hiking guide or a marine biologist, you will discover the naturalistic wonders of this unique place while actively contributing to scientific research.

You will begin your adventure with a safety briefing on safety at sea, behaviors to adopt within theBergeggi Island Marine Protected Area and on the citizen science protocol to follow. From here, you will depart by kayak to the Island of Bergeggi, where the monitoring activity begins.

This experience is a perfect combination of sporting activity, fun and contribution to the environment.

The approach we propose is a tourism that is not only environmentally friendly, but regenerative, capable of leaving a positive impact through knowledge and direct involvement in environmental monitoring intended for all those who want to better understand their surroundings.

On the way to theisland of Bergeggi, you already start monitoring: after learning the safety regulations for the snorkeling and the protocol of Citizen Science, the Guide will provide you with waterproof tablets on which to note the species observed, with a special focus on the biodiversity local.

You will observe the surrounding waters l'island of Bergeggi within Area B of theBergeggi Marine Protected Area, looking for fish and marine organisms previously selected and explained, which will help you understand the ecological quality of the seabed.

You will collect data, marked in pencil on the tablets, which will later be shared with the University of Genoa and research institutions.

This excursion offers you the opportunity to discover a place rich in biodiversity, history and legends, allowing you to admire the beauty of the area and protect it through knowledge and species monitoring.
